He plays on his school’s soccer team and befriends June (Max Bennett Kelly)\, a charming senior and the varsity team’s popular captain. However\, after suffering a gruesome injury at practice\, Chris gradually becomes dependent on opiate painkillers. \n\n\n\nHoping to grow closer to June\, Chris offers to share his pills\, keeping it hidden from his new friends—including June’s sister\, Sofia (Brooklyn Ramirez). This talk will begin at 7:30 p.m.\, and the showing will start promptly at 8 p.m. He’ll discuss his career\, job description and the process of shooting a live action/animation hybrid. \n\n\n\nCoyote vs Acme is famous for being shelved by Warner Bros. before finding theatrical distribution three years later. Wile E. Coyote finally sues Acme Inc. after years of their products literally blowing up in his face. He enlists accident lawyer Kevin Avery (Will Forte) to go up against slick Acme attorney Buddy Crane (John Cena). \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMoyer is a Sewickley Academy and Ithaca College graduate who has been working in the camera departments of major film and television productions since the late 1980s. His long list of credits includes 1995’s Sudden Death\, 1999’s Dogma\, 2006’s Rocky Balboa\, the HBO drama Boardwalk Empire\, 2012’s The Avengers\, 2017’s The Post\, 2021’s In the Heights and 2025’s The Housemaid. \n\n\n\nHe has previously regaled Lindsay audiences with stories from his time on the sets of 2021’s West Side Story remake\, 2023’s Pittsburgh-shot dramedy A Man Called Otto\, and this year’s The Devil Wears Prada 2 and Disclosure Day. It focuses on Italian prisoners of war captured in North Africa and Sicily who ended up at Letterkenny Army Depot outside of Chambersburg\, Pa. Their fairly short stay left an impact on that region that is still felt today. \n\n\n\nMancini’s film will play at The Lindsay on Thursday\, Sept. 3\, at 7:30 p.m. He will be on hand for a live filmmaker Q&A immediately following the screening. He eventually forms an alliance with fellow captives to fight back. As the Black Pirate\, he infiltrates the Pirate Captain’s ship\, engaging in daring sword fights and acrobatics.  \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe film’s cast also includes Billie Dove as Princess Isobel; Anders Randolf as the Pirate Captain; Donald Crisp as the one-armed pirate MacTavish; and Sam De Grasse as the Pirate Lieutenant. \n\n\n\nThe Pittsburgh Silent Film Festival is showing a 4K technicolor restoration of The Black Pirate. It was restored by The Museum of Modern Art and The Film Foundation in Cooperation with the British Film Institute. Funding was provided by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association\, with special thanks to Alexander Payne. \n\n\n\nFor some 25 years\, the Thoth Trio has been a force in Pittsburgh’s creative music community. Sam so desperately wants to feel normal that he’s willing to risk everything for an unforgettable shot at prom\, first love and one night of real freedom—even knowing that all those flashing lights could trigger a seizure. \n\n\n\nWriter-director Miles Levin’s film will play at The Lindsay on Sunday\, Oct. 18\, at 1 p.m. Tickets are on sale for $6.50 each and include admission to the film\, one small popcorn and a fountain drink.
