DESCRIPTION:An afternoon of great music and fine spirits is in store at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center Sunday\, May 5 with Whiskey and Weavers. The screening of a live concert film featuring the Tannahill Weavers (recorded at the Greater Pittsburgh Masonic Center in October 2023) will be preceded by a Scotch whiskey tasting to benefit the Balmoral Classic: U.S. Junior Solo Piping & Drumming Championships\, an annual event held in Pittsburgh each fall. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Scotland’s Tannahill Weavers play acoustic instruments\, but the atmosphere at their shows is electric\,” says the Boston Globe. “The quintet is as tight and as versatile as any band in the Celtic music revival. They can summon rock ‘n’ roll intensity or haunting introspection.” \n\n\n\nThe event is presented in partnership with Pittsburgh’s Balmoral School of Piping & Drumming. The Scotch tasting begins at 2 p.m. and the film at 3 p.m. Tickets are available for the film alone\, or for both events.  \n\n\n\nBorn of a session in Paisley\, Scotland\, and named for the town’s historic weaving industry and local poet laureate Robert Tannahill\, the Tannahill Weavers are internationally known for their unique take on Celtic music\, blending beautiful traditional melodies with powerful modern rhythms. \n\n\n\nTheir diverse repertoire spans the centuries with fire-driven instrumentals\, topical songs\, original ballads and lullabies\, and humorous tales of life in Scotland. From reflective ballads to foot-stomping reels and jigs\, the variety and range of the material they perform is matched only by their enthusiasm and lively Celtic spirits. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Weavers concert at the Pittsburgh Masonic Center “was a highlight of our year\,” says Balmoral executive director George Balderose. “The May 5 screening is a great way to share that experience and spread awareness of traditional Scottish music to the community.”

DESCRIPTION:Reserve Tickets\n\n\n\n\nCryptids\, a horror/comedy anthology that has garnered awards on the festival circuit and stars famed drive-in movie critic Joe Bob Briggs\, will screen as the latest offering in the Emerging Filmmakers Showcase at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center on Thursday\, April 25\, at 7:30 p.m.  \n\n\n\n\nAccolades for Cryptids include Best Feature and Best Horror Feature at GenreBlast 2023\, and the Jury Award at the 2024 Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival. \n\n\n\nProduced and with segments directed by Zane Hershberger of Wexford and Justin Seaman of Claysville\, Washington County\, the filmmakers call Cryptids “a love letter to creature features” that takes place during a paranormal radio call-in show hosted by Major Harlan Dean\, played by Briggs.  \n\n\n\n\nAs the phone lines open and callers discuss increasingly bizarre sightings of cryptids (creatures such as Bigfoot whose existence is rumored but has never been proven)\, Dean begins to question if real dangers lurk outside the station.   \n\n\n\nFree Showcase events\, a staple at The Lindsay\, have developed to accelerate filmmakers’ exposure and encourage exchanges between local artists and the public. The anthology includes eight chapters by seven artists\, and the 85-minute screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSeveral segments were shot in Butler and Portersville\, Butler County; Washington and Claysville\, Washington County; and at the Mothman Festival in Point Pleasant\, W.Va. \n\n\n\nHershberger\, an Art Institute of Pittsburgh graduate\, and Seaman\, a Robert Morris University alumnus\, met while working on Seaman’s first feature film\, The Barn\, and have collaborated for the past 11 years under their companies Silver Springs Films and Nevermore Productions Films. \n\n\n\n“I love telling stories; I always have since I was a kid\,” says Hershberger. “After writing a multitude of stories\, I wanted to see them visually come alive through the process of filmmaking.” \n\n\n\nThis event is free to the public but reservations are recommended as seats already are going fast. Rumor has it Bigfoot will need at least two seats so everyone behind him can see the screen.

As a filmmaker and storyteller\, I soon realized that this compelling story deserved to be shared with a wider audience.” \n\n\n\nCollaborating with various production companies and storytellers across the nation\, Rust is generating an extensive body of work in creative visual storytelling. Beaver County native Dan Rosenberg\, whose 30-year career has spanned comedy\, writing and radio hosting\, returns home from the West Coast with The Coast to Coaster comedy tour\, featuring “very special guest” Auggie Cook. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTickets are on sale now for the 90-minute show\, with the equivalent of a PG-13 rating\, starting at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday\, April 13\, in The Lindsay Theater’s Community Room.  \n\n\n\nRosenberg\, a Chippewa native and Blackhawk High School alumnus\, came to The Lindsay last spring to test his pilot sit-com It’s A Lot. He played a used car salesman\, while Grammy winning\, General Hospital actor Rick Springfield was his rockstar dad. (Update: The show is being pitched for streaming.) \n\n\n\n“After screening our sitcom at The Lindsay last spring\, it was obvious to me that the theater is a great gift to the community. I serve on the board of a local performing arts center on Bainbridge Island\, Washington\, and I realize the importance of non-profit theaters\,” says Rosenberg. \n\n\n\nFor the Cultural Center\, comedy shows are more often becoming an option. “The Lindsay is broadening its scope beyond film\, into different mediums. Our first two comedy shows have featured LA-based female comedians—Angelina Spicer and Nicole Travolta\,” says CEO Carolina Thor. “Now\, for the first time\, we have a Pittsburgh area native with years in the business bringing his latest to a home-town crowd.” \n\n\n\nRosenberg will draw from his experiences at national comedy clubs like the Laugh Factory and the Improv\, and at comedy festivals\, including Just for Laughs in Montreal\, Las Vegas\, Boston and New Orleans.  \n\n\n\nA host for CBS radio shows in Los Angeles and Seattle\, and for National Lampoon Radio on SiriusXM\, Rosenberg will be joined by Cook\, a nationally touring stand-up comedian who has appeared on ABC-TV and worked with the likes of Howie Mandel\, Drew Carey\, Robert Klein\, Chris Rock\, George Wallace and Rick Rockwell. \n\n\n\nCook\, who’s been sharpening his quick wit\, clean jokes\, easy style and hilarious songs since the 1980s\, regularly appears on many of the Burgh’s radio and TV stations. This groundbreaking work\, performed solely by Black men and women from the Hill District\, became the basis for all paramedic training in the country.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTheir story is told in the Mid-Atlantic Emmy-winning film Freedom House Ambulance: The FIRST Responders\, produced by Annette Banks of WQED-TV\, and screening Thursday\, March 28\, at 7 p.m.\, as part of The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center’s Emerging Filmmakers Showcase.  \n\n\n\nThe free showcase events\, a staple at The Lindsay\, are designed to accelerate filmmakers’ exposure and encourage exchanges between local artists and the public.  \n\n\n\n“The Lindsay is thrilled to present Freedom House Ambulance: The FIRST Responders as part of its Emerging Filmmakers Showcase\, helping to bring this piece of local history to the public’s attention\,” says Carolina Thor\, the Theater’s CEO. “We are particularly honored to have some of these trailblazers in attendance.” \n\n\n\nA Q&A after the screening will include filmmaker Banks\, Freedom House founder Phil Hallen\, and former Freedom House employee John Moon. \n\n\n\nUsing rare archival images\, the 28-minute documentary explores barriers faced by Freedom House Ambulance\, from Hallen’s story of inception to compelling reflections of the paramedic team\, stories of the world-renowned doctors who trained them\, and memories of the residents they served. \n\n\n\n“When I first learned about Freedom House Ambulance\, I knew that I had to tell this story\,” Banks says. “It was a little-known local story\, with major national impact. It was really exciting to meet some of the men and women from Freedom House who set the standard of pre-hospital care for our country\, and it was such a privilege to be able to produce the documentary to help spread the word about this amazing part of American history.” \n\n\n\nDespite the success of Freedom House Ambulance\, racism and power dynamics shut it down\, and faded its recognition in American history.  \n\n\n\nFreedom House: The FIRST Responders is “truly spectacular and a must-see for everyone in Pittsburgh and beyond\,” says the Safar Center for Resuscitation Research at the University of Pittsburgh. \n\n\n\n“The Freedom House team of men and women completely transformed the field of emergency medicine\,” observes BikePGH. “The model they created was replicated all over the country … it’s the basis for the city-run ambulance service today. And the documentary lets us hear from the people who made their neighborhood safer\, those who were on the team themselves.” \n\n\n\nThis event is free to the public but RSVPs are requested so that seating for everyone can be ensured.

Pabst will be shown in its 2K restoration for the first time in the Pittsburgh area. Lurid and highly controversial upon its release\, the film follows the downward spiral of the fiery yet innocent showgirl Lulu. \n\n\n\nThe film was rediscovered by scholars in the 1950s and began to earn the reputation of an unsung classic. Film critic Roger Ebert reviewed the film in 1998 with great praise\, and included the film on his list of The Great Movies. Director Quentin Tarantino also listed it among his 10 greatest films of all time. \n\n\n\n“Louise Brooks dazzles as the dangerously appealing seductress\,” says the British Film Institute. Brooks’ “rightly acclaimed performance oozes careless vivacity and irresistible charm. But the direction is also brilliantly meticulous\, making memorable use of Günther Krampf’s fluid camera and expressive lighting.” \n\n\n\n“We are pleased to again partner with the Pittsburgh Silent Film Society to bring a treasured silent film to the Theater\,” says Carolina Pais-Barreto Thor\, CEO of The Lindsay. “Audience response to these films has been enthusiastic; particularly because of the texture added by the live musical accompaniment.” \n\n\n\nAccompanying the film will be Ben Opie\, who performs on reeds and electronics\, and teaches music technology at both Carnegie Mellon University and Pittsburgh’s CAPA High School; and Mark Micchelli\, a pianist\, composer\, technologist and educator pursuing a doctorate in jazz studies\, composition and theory at the University of Pittsburgh. \n\n\n\n“We’re thrilled to co-present this brand new restoration of Louise Brooks’ best film at one of our favorite independent cinemas\, and accompanied by some of Pittsburgh’s best jazz musicians\,” says Chad Hunter\, director of the Pittsburgh Silent Film Society\, whose work has been praised by Martin Scorsese. “It doesn’t get any better.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“Pandora’s Box is a piece of glowing cinema which has one searching for superlatives\,” says Stage and Cinema. A native of Ecuador whose parents moved to the state when he was two years old\, Carpio is a graduate of the Art Institute of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Design. He is currently working on Showtime’s Mayor of Kingstown as the camera operator for the Drone unit. \n\n\n\nFire\, by Samuel Diggs\, the story of a homeless man making the ultimate decision on behalf of his fellow camper during a fierce winter. A Frostburg native now living in Ambridge\, Diggs is a seasoned\, Emmy-nominated filmmaker who has garnered numerous awards for their exceptional work\, reflecting a passion for weaving compelling narratives that transcend geographical boundaries. and exemplifying the transformative power of storytelling. \n\n\n\nBurying Baby by Benjamin Carlucci\, depicting a couple trying to cope with the loss of a family member. Carlucci\, of Pittsburgh’s Squirrel Hill neighborhood\, has earned critical acclaim for his short films at film festivals on every continent. Benjamin is a three-time winner of Pittsburgh’s 48-Hour Film Project\, with his last city-winning film being selected as one of the top 10 in the world and going on to screen at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner in 2022. \n\n\n\nThe Long Mile\, directed by Hutchins\, in which a case of mistaken identity leads to tragic results. \n\n\n\nThe screening will be followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers. The screening is free but RSVPs are requested so that everyone can be guaranteed a seat.

DESCRIPTION:For film buff Nick Lumley\, 2023 was a great year for cinema. He loved seeing new\, thought-provoking films such as Oppenheimer and Killers of the Flower Moon\, and even a few unheralded gems. \n\n\n\nThe icing on the cake? As winner of The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center’s 2023 Oscar Contest\, he watched these films for free. \n\n\n\nNow The Lindsay’s Oscar Contest has returned for 2024\, again with the top prize of a free pass to the Theater for an unlimited number of screenings for the remainder of the year. The winner must successfully pick the Best Picture as well as the greatest number of winners among all 23 Oscar categories. \n\n\n\nThe Theater\, a nonprofit that has not raised ticket prices since opening in 2017\, offers this contest every year. Oscar-nominated films are being screened along with new releases until the Academy Awards Ceremony on Sunday\, March 10. This gives patrons plenty of opportunity to watch on the big screen\, ponder the artistry displayed and carefully mark their ballots. \n\n\n\n“Our patrons are passionate about film\, and that’s apparent every year at Oscar Contest time\,” says Carolina Thor\, CEO of the nonprofit cultural center. “So many people predict an amazing number of categories correctly! We look forward to seeing the 2024 winner here at the Theater for many exceptional films through Dec. 31.”  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLooking back on the year\, Lumley says he enjoyed seeing more people return to theaters—and appreciated watching original films not connected with a particular franchise. While he loved many of the Best Picture-nominated films—especially The Holdovers and Barbie—his favorite by far was Oppenheimer. \n\n\n\nDirector Christopher Nolan’s take on the making of the first atomic bomb “is the best film of the century so far\,” Lumley says—and unsurprisingly\, his pick for Best Picture. He loves everything about it: the directing\, the sound\, the cinematography\, Cillian Murphy’s acting in the lead role.  \n\n\n\nLumley also calls out Emma Stone’s performance in Poor Things—and Greta Lee’s un-nominated performance in Past Lives\, while noting “I’ve always been a big fan of Paul Giamatti\,” star of The Holdovers.  \n\n\n\nHis under-the-radar film recommendation is A Thousand and One\, which screened at The Lindsay in 2023\, starring Teyana Taylor as a single mother in a gentrifying New York City neighborhood. \n\n\n\nLumley\, who lives in Sewickley\, shares his contest bragging rights with other recent winners from Patterson Township and Big Beaver\, Beaver County.  \n\n\n\nAll are welcome to pick up Oscar ballots at the Theater Box Office\, 418 Walnut St.\, Sewickley\, during screening hours. In making Picture Proof\, they chose to “push back against representations of addiction that too often perpetuate notions of personal failing and community apathy.”  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe directors share: “When we met Ashley\, she was luminous\, charismatic\, generous\, and kind. Romero as well as the city of Pittsburgh. \n\n\n\nFeaturing local and nationally known actors\, the film screens Thursday\, Oct. 26\, at 7:30 p.m. as part of The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center’s Emerging Filmmakers Showcase. Showcase events\, a staple at The Lindsay\, are designed to encourage exchanges between local filmmakers and the public\, and are free to all. \n\n\n\n“Supporting local filmmakers with Showcase events is part of The Lindsay’s mission\,” says Carolina Pais-Barreto Thor\, The Lindsay’s CEO. “It is always such a thrill to see local filmmakers get a chance to show their work on the big screen\, and we are especially delighted to see Dean bring the results of his West Coast experience back home.” \n\n\n\nThe setting is a farmhouse in Westmoreland County’s Mount Pleasant\, where four childhood friends visit with plans for a relaxing weekend. But\, Jacobs says\, “the group soon finds out the house has something else planned.” \n\n\n\nRaised in McMurray and a 2002 graduate of Peters Township High School\, Jacobs began performing at the age of 10 for South Park Children’s Theatre\, Little Lake Theater and others.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAfter graduating from Indiana University of PA\, he landed some film roles\, including a small role in the locally shot feature\, A New York Heartbeat\, opposite future Emmy winner Rachel Brosnahan. Afterward\, Jacobs decided to make the move to LA. \n\n\n\n“Filmmaking can and should be accessible for everyone with a desire to create\,” Jacobs says. “If you have a (phone) camera—and almost everyone does—that’s a good start. Tell a story. Give the audience something to invest in. \n\n\n\n“George Romero wrote the textbook on making a great independent film on a minimal budget. My intention was always to pay tribute to the city of Pittsburgh and\, in some small way\, hopefully honor the legacy of Romero in the process\,” Jacobs says. “The casting of Lori Cardille and John Amplas furthered that intention.” \n\n\n\nIn Romero’s third zombie film\, Day of the Dead\, Cardille played the lead role\, a tough-edged woman who had to fight off her rage-fueled male counterparts as well as zombies. She’s the daughter of “Chilly Billy” Cardille\, host of Pittsburgh’s Chiller Theater from the 1960s to the mid-1980s\, who played a small role in Romero’s Night of the Living Dead. \n\n\n\nAmplas\, in addition to his roles in  Romero films (Dawn of the Dead\, Day of the Dead\, Creepshow\, Martin and Knightriders)\, served as Romero’s casting director. Theater director at the Pittsburgh Playhouse\, Amplas taught theater at Point Park University for more than 20 years. \n\n\n\nOther stars of The TRIP include: Doug Bradley\, who played the lead role of Pinhead in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser\, Luke Edwards\, whose film credits include The Wizard\, Newsies\, Little Big League\, Jeepers Creepers II\, and Hannah Fierman\, a horror film veteran known for films and television shows including V/H/S\, Siren\, Creepshow\, Dynasty and Vampire Diaries. Some Like It Hot\, directed by six-time Oscar winner Billy Wilder\, was made without approval from the Motion Picture Production Code (Hays Code) because of its LGBT themes. \n\n\n\nSince then\, the film’s reputation has grown\, and it is widely considered one of the greatest of all time. The Library of Congress selected it as one of the first 25 films for preservation in the National Film Registry\, and the American Film Institute voted it as the top comedy film on their list of AFI’s 100 Years…100 Laughs poll in 2000. \n\n\n\n“Wilder’s 1959 comedy is one of the enduring treasures of the movies\, a film of inspiration and meticulous craft\,” said the late critic Roger Ebert\, giving the film four out of four stars. “What a work of art and nature is Marilyn Monroe. Early in the 20th century\, Pittsburgh was a worldwide manufacturing leader in iron and\, later\, steel. The labor requirements to produce such output was enormous\, with much of the manpower being supplied by the immigrant populations living in and around the mills. Due to the lack of leisure activities and the need to live close to the mills\, local movie theaters emerged to offer a brief respite from the mundane mill-to-home routine. That movie was The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari\, a plunge into the mind of insanity that severs all ties with the rational world. Director Robert Wiene and a visionary team of designers crafted a nightmare realm in which light\, shadow and substance are abstracted\, a world in which a demented doctor and a carnival sleepwalker perpetrate a series of ghastly murders in a small community. \n\n\n\nThe Pittsburgh Composers Quartet (Patrick Breiner: tenor saxophone\, clarinets; Adam Kantz: drums\, electronics; Mark Micchelli: piano\, keyboards; Ben Opie: saxophones\, clarinets\, electronics) draws on a variety of sources and techniques\, ranging from traditional and free jazz to modern classical techniques. Performances are lively\, unpredictable and fun! \n\n\n\nThe culmination of over a decade of silent film exhibition in the area\, the Pittsburgh Silent Film Society’s 1st Pittsburgh Silent Film Festival will take place September 24 to October 1\, 2023. Nine films will screen at eight venues around the Pittsburgh area\, with half a dozen musicians providing live accompaniment. The festival will coincide with the 3rd annual Silent Movie Day\, a world-wide celebration of silent film occurring each year on September 29 – a project which was co-founded in 2021 by Pittsburgh Silent Film Festival director Chad Hunter. Film director Martin Scorsese remarked on the effort: “This is exactly the kind of activist spirit we need right now in the world of cinema.”

These characters are central to the works that award-winning filmmaker Kevin Schreck\, Visiting Documentary Filmmaker at Robert Morris University\, will present on Thursday\, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAnimating Reality: An Evening with Filmmaker Kevin Schreck\, is a special free event hosted by The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center. \n\n\n\nSchreck will share his film\, Persistence of Vision\, an acclaimed documentary about “the greatest animated film never made.” Described as a story of obsession and dreams\, Persistence of Vision centers on the would-be masterpiece of Richard Williams\, the Academy-Award winning animation director of Who Framed Roger Rabbit and two of the Pink Panther movies\, among others. \n\n\n\nStriving to make the greatest animated film of all time\, Williams toiled for more than a quarter of a century on his masterpiece\, The Thief and the Cobbler––only to have it torn from his hands. Schreck’s Persistence of Vision weaves together mind-blowing animation\, rare archival footage\, and exclusive interviews with key animators and artists who worked with Williams on his ill-fated magnum opus.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n“In animation circles\, it is a legendary story\,” says The Globe and Mail. “With an amazing cache of archival footage—including Mr. Williams’s original animation—Mr. Schreck’s documentary is gripping\, even though we know from the beginning that Mr. Williams’s project will fail.” \n\n\n\nBesides sharing this feature\, Schreck will also screen excerpts from his forthcoming project\, Enongo\, a documentary-animation hybrid and portrait of a young rapper/producer/Ph.D. candidate\, Enongo Lumumba-Kasongo\, better known by her stage persona\, Sammus. This documentary will be the first feature-length film with an animation team composed entirely of Black women animators\, Schreck says. \n\n\n\nAfter the screenings\, Schreck’s discussion of his career in bringing the worlds of animation and nonfiction cinema together will be followed by a Q&A session. Schreck’s latest film\, Antarctic Voyage (in post production) focuses on a scientific research expedition to the Antarctic Convergence and the remote island of South Georgia. Originally from Minneapolis\, Schreck is now based in Brooklyn. Schreck is the 12th Visiting Documentary Filmmaker at RMU (The Arts and Humanities Department and Center for Documentary Production & Study at the School of Informatics\, Humanities and Social Sciences)\, and as part of his semester-long resident will screen films and share his experienced as a filmmaker while teaching a documentary production class.

DESCRIPTION:Reserve Tickets\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAs part of its ongoing Emerging Filmmakers Showcase\, The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center will host AbSolved\, a 120-minute episodic narrative created and written by local actor and writer David Ogrodowsk and produced by LaTasia Greene\, Thursday\, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m. \n\n\n\nAbSolved\, a psychological thriller\, follows Father Demetrius\, a Catholic priest\, as he struggles with post-traumatic stress syndrome after witnessing a school shooting.   \n\n\n\nDemetrius\, played by Ogrodowski\, goes on an unexpected journey to understand his new circumstances and is bombarded with mysterious sounds\, haunting voices and ghostly visitors. His efforts to trace these strange occurrences takes him down a rabbit hole that pulls him further and further from the priesthood. \n\n\n\nFor Ogrodowski\, writing and acting are certainly a means of self-expression. “The more I create\, the more I live\,” he says. But he feels even more strongly about making a positive impact on others with his art. “We can take people away from the troubles in their lives\, and help them temporarily forget whatever is ailing them. So whenever I approach filmmaking\, I approach it with that in mind.” \n\n\n\nLeading the filmmaking crew are directors Kevin Hejna of Hazelwood and Jesse Hutchins of Moon Township; producers Greene of Pittsburgh and Edward Pfeifer of South Hills; editor James Harland Lockhart V of Bellevue and cinematographer Kevin Kukler of Belle Vernon. \n\n\n\nIn addition to Ogrodowski\, a Washington\, PA\, native who now lives on Pittsburgh’s North Side\, other actors involved in the production include Jason Burke of Munhall\, Ella Burke of Punxsutawney\, Phil Henderson of Canonsburg\, David Saint-Jacques of Sewickley and Curtis Caldwell of Pleasant Hills.  \n\n\n\nAbSolved\, shot mostly in the Pittsburgh area\, has earned over 30 nominations on the festival circuit and has won over a dozen awards including Best Suspense/Thriller and Best Actor (international) at the 2022 Seoul Webfest; Outstanding Thriller at the 2022 New Jersey Web Festival\, and Best Drama and Best Actor (Ogrodowski) at the 2022 Miami Web Fest.  \n\n\n\n“Pittsburgh is very well endowed with an army of dedicated independent filmmakers\,” Ogrodowski says. “Also\, If you can’t find a setting to shoot a narrative in in Pittsburgh\, you aren’t looking. Pittsburgh can be old Europe\, untouched woods\, modern cities\, country roads\, apocalyptic societies\, rich\, poor\, rivers and mountains—all sorts of amazing things for a camera to look at.” \n\n\n\nThe first season of AbSolved will be screened in its entirety\, along with the first episode of the second season\, for a total running time of two hours.  \n\n\n\nThe screening will be followed by a Q&A session with the filmmakers. Big Spring Spirits\, a community-centric craft distillery that is based in Bellefonte\, Pa. and operates a store in Sewickley\, will also be on hand with “AbSolved-inspired” signature cocktails available for purchase. \n\n\n\nShowcase events\, a staple at The Lindsay\, are designed to encourage exchanges between local filmmakers and the public\, and are free to all.
