SUMMARY:'Hoppers' Sensory Friendly Screening
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy Pixar’s latest animated adventure in a low-stress environment.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBuy Tickets Here!\n\n\n\n\n\nPixar makes films for audiences of all ages. The Lindsay is ensuring that everyone has a chance to watch this renowned studio’s latest animated adventure! \n\n\n\nWe’re hosting a sensory friendly Hoppers screening on Saturday\, March 7\, at 10 a.m. Tickets for this showing are on sale for our discounted rate of $8.75. \n\n\n\nHoppers\, which starts playing at The Lindsay on March 6\, is an original Pixar story about a teenager who becomes one with nature after her mind is transferred into the body of a robotic beaver. \n\n\n\nIn this world\, scientists have discovered how to “hop” human consciousness into lifelike robotic animals\, allowing people to communicate with animals as animals! Mabel\, a lifelong animal lover\, seizes an opportunity to use the technology\, uncovering mysteries within the animal world that are beyond anything she could have imagined. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe Lindsay has been proudly holding sensory friendly screenings since 2017. These screenings provide an option for families\, children\, and adults impacted by autism and other special needs to watch films together in a low-stress environment. \n\n\n\nWe lower the film’s volume\, keep on dim house lights\, and have a door open to restrooms and the lobby throughout the film. Trailers are eliminated to reduce the necessary “sit time.” Staffing levels are also increased to allow a personal\, unhurried cinematic experience for everyone.  \n\n\n\nThe Lindsay usually offers sensory friendly screenings of every family-friendly film we play. Recent examples include sensory friendly screenings of Snow White\, A Minecraft Movie\, Lilo & Stitch\, How to Train Your Dragon and Zootopia 2.

SUMMARY:Rob Reiner Film Festival
DESCRIPTION:Rob Reiner was a Hollywood icon who produced more than 50 years of beloved film and television work. \n\n\n\nReiner\, the son of fellow entertainment legend Carl Reiner\, launched his own acting and writing career in the 1960s. He started directing feature films in the 1980s and spent the next 20 years making cherished classics such as This is Spinal Tap\, Stand by Me\, The Princess Bride\, When Harry Met Sally …\, Misery and A Few Good Men. The last Reiner-directed release before his tragic death was Spinal Tap II: The End Continues. \n\n\n\nThe Lindsay is honoring Reiner by playing five of these treasured favorites from Friday\, March 13\, through Thursday\, March 19. Tickets can be purchased online or at The Lindsay’s box office. You can help us celebrate Reiner’s incomparable legacy by watching some of his finest films on the big screen. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is Spinal Tap\n\n\n\nR | 1h 22min | Mockumentary\, Music\n\n\n\nDirector: Rob Reiner\n\n\n\nStars: Michael McKean\, Christopher Guest\, Harry Shearer\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThis is Spinal Tap literally invented an entire genre of filmmaking. A journalist (played by Reiner) goes on tour with English rock band Spinal Tap and chronicles the group’s many highs and lows. Their star is fading\, and these rockers try just about everything to keep the music going. \n\n\n\nReiner’s first theatrical film “has a big laugh in almost every frame\,” praises The Guardian. It’s clear that This is Spinal Tap is “a parody of life on the rock-tour circuit\, made by people who both know of what they speak\, and care for it\,” applauds USA Today. \n\n\n\n“Rob Reiner’s This is Spinal Tap introduces a brand-new genre in Hollywood—the rockumentary spoof—and does it so well that some people might not get the joke. … It’s that proximity of fact to fiction that turns this lightweight affair into a heavy-metal hoot.” \n\n\n\n\nTickets and Showtimes for This is Spinal Tap\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhen Harry Met Sally …\n\n\n\nR | 1h 36min | Romantic Comedy\n\n\n\nDirector: Rob Reiner\n\n\n\nStar: Meg Ryan\, Billy Crystal\, Carrie Fisher\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWhen Harry Met Sally … is still widely regarded as the greatest rom com ever made. Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan) set out to prove that men and women can\, in fact\, be friends. They remain close and\, unknowingly\, develop feelings for each other that stretch the boundaries of their relationship. \n\n\n\n“Rob Reiner directs … with evident sympathy for both main characters\,” lauds Sight & Sound. This film topped Rolling Stone‘s Greatest Romantic Comedies of All Time list\, largely thanks to the “one-of-a-kind alchemy” between Crystal and Ryan. \n\n\n\n“Chances are good that when you hear the phrase ‘rom com\,’ Rob Reiner’s movie was the first title you thought of. …  It is the one rom com to rule them all\, a perfect distillation of the form. We’ll always have what they’re having.” \n\n\n\n\nTickets and Showtimes for When Harry Met Sally …\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMisery\n\n\n\nR | 1h 47min | Drama\, Thriller\n\n\n\nDirector: Rob Reiner\n\n\n\nStar: Kathy Bates\, James Caan\, Richard Farnsworth\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nMisery star Kathy Bates won a Best Actress Oscar for her performance as Annie Wilkes\, a literary obsessive who rescues famed novelist Paul Sheldon (James Caan) following a car crash. Sheldon quickly realizes that his No. 1 fan wants more from him than just an autograph. \n\n\n\n“Bates has a field day with her role\, creating a quirky\, memorable object of hate\,” commends Variety. “Popular moviemaking—elegantly economical\, artlessly artful—doesn’t get much better than this\,” declares Time Magazine. \n\n\n\n“Bates’ performance is simply spectacular. She can accelerate from simpering girlishness to looming monstrosity with head-spinning speed. … The actors are supported by the best kind of writerly craft and directorial technique\, the kind that refuses to call attention to itself.” \n\n\n\n\nTickets and Showtimes for Misery\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA Few Good Men\n\n\n\nR | 2h 18min | Drama\, Thriller\n\n\n\nDirector: Rob Reiner\n\n\n\nStar: Tom Cruise\, Jack Nicholson\, Demi Moore\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nA Few Good Men is an enthralling legal thriller directed by Reiner and written by Aaron Sorkin\, who adapted his own 1989 play. JAG attorney Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise) is charged with investigating a fellow Marine’s death. He meets quite a bit of resistance\, especially from ornery Col. Nathan Jessep (Jack Nicholson). \n\n\n\nThis Best Picture nominee is a “thrillingly effective crowd pleaser\,” writes Entertainment Weekly. “The fact that A Few Good Men delivers the goods as well as it does is a tribute to Reiner’s savvy theatrical instincts\, and to a strong cast\,” proclaims Newsweek. \n\n\n\n“Reiner has mounted a crackling screen version of Sorkin’s play: it’s impeccably produced\, vigorously acted and delivers the emotional fireworks expected of a courtroom showdown. … The movie accomplishes its task with military efficiency.” \n\n\n\n\nTickets and Showtimes for A Few Good Men\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpinal Tap II: The End Continues\n\n\n\nR | 1h 23min | Mockumentary\, Music\n\n\n\nDirector: Rob Reiner\n\n\n\nStar: Michael McKean\, Christopher Guest\, Harry Shearer\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nSpinal Tap II: The End Continues was the last Reiner-directed film released before his tragic death late last year. The band reunites following a 15-year break for one finale concert. Reiner’s film features cameos from musical legends such as Paul McCartney\, Elton John\, Paul Shaffer and Garth Brooks. \n\n\n\nThis highly anticipated sequel is “a warm\, comfortable\, appealingly gentle and subtle comedy\,” praises RogerEbert.com. Spinal Tap II is “a legacy sequel worthy of this band’s legacy\,” raves Consequence. \n\n\n\n“Rob Reiner\, Christopher Guest\, Michael McKean and Harry Shearer reunite for a joyful\, music-filled ride. … It stands out as a deeply enjoyable viewing experience\, and a singular one: It’s a movie about older men looking back at their lives and the relationships that have defined them.” \n\n\n\n\nTickets and Showtimes for Spinal Tap II

DESCRIPTION:Sewickley’s own Marie Benedict is returning to The Lindsay to celebrate the launch of her latest novel! \n\n\n\nThe prolific local author’s new novel\, Daughter of Egypt\, will be available for purchase on March 24. It follows a young archaeologist obsessed with unearthing the truth about a forgotten female Pharaoh. \n\n\n\nThe Lindsay is partnering with Benedict and Penguin Bookshop for another book launch event on Saturday\, March 21\, at 7 p.m. Tickets are currently on sale via Eventbrite. \n\n\n\nBenedict will engage in a conversation about the book and her research process. A mysterious Pharaoh captures Lady Evelyn Herbert’s imagination and inspires her to search for the tomb of Egypt’s first woman ruler—which rewrites both of their legacies forever. \n\n\n\nBenedict is both a lawyer and New York Times best-selling author who has published more than a dozen novels. Her literary calling card is historical fiction that illuminates the stories of real\, complex and fascinating women. \n\n\n\nA huge crowd gathered at The Lindsay last year to watch Benedict talk about her 2025 novel The Queens of Crime. Now\, her adoring fans have another chance to hear from their favorite author!

SUMMARY:Emerging Filmmakers Showcase: 'Beneath the Sole'
DESCRIPTION:Both showtimes have sold out\, please stay tuned for updates on future showings. \n\n\n\n\nThe Lindsay’s next Emerging Filmmakers Showcase is an exciting documentary about a beloved Sewickley family and institution. \n\n\n\nBeneath the Sole focuses on Mario Ulizzi\, who opened Sewickley Shoe Repair in 1999 and remains its owner. Director Ryan Rust paints an intimate portrait of a beloved local craftsman whose spirit is restored by the community whose shoes he fixes. \n\n\n\nThis 30-minute documentary will play twice at The Lindsay on Sunday\, March 22. You can RSVP for either a 1 p.m. or 2:20 p.m. showtime. Both screenings are free and will be followed by a Q&A with Rust\, Ulizzi and producer Krystle Gandy. \n\n\n\n“This premiere is a celebration of the Sewickley community\,” says Rust\, of Moon Township. “And it now comes full circle\, premiering at the best theater in Pittsburgh!” \n\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nRust and his wife\, Caitlin\, moved to Moon about four years ago. They love grabbing coffee and walking around Sewickley on a lovely spring\, summer or fall day. During one of those excursions\, Caitlin pointed out Sewickley Shoe Repair and told her husband\, “You should tell their story.” \n\n\n\nIt didn’t take much research to convince Rust that Ulizzi and Sewickley Shoe Repair could be fascinating documentary subjects. He reached out to Sewickley Shoe Repair in March 2025 and quickly established contact with Ulizzi and his wife\, Carla. \n\n\n\n“If you ask anyone in town\, Mario has a unique way of connecting with people\,” says Rust. “From the moment we first met to discuss the idea of telling his story\, I just had a feeling it was going to be a great one. I have only known Mario for almost a year\, and I feel like I have known him my whole life.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nProduction began in July 2025\, and the film was completed late last year. Rust credited Grandy\, also the board president of Women in Film & Media Pittsburgh\, and Beneath the Sole‘s crew for their instrumental roles in bringing this project to fruition. \n\n\n\nRust is no stranger to The Lindsay. His documentary HIVE\, about a Pittsburgh-area beekeeper\, played here in 2024 as part of the Theater’s Emerging Filmmakers Showcase. He’s looking forward to showing his latest film in a venue that “truly holds a special place in my heart.” \n\n\n\nBeneath the Sole will start streaming on WQED+ the day after its Lindsay premiere. Rust hopes that everyone will check out this testament to “how a community can touch someone’s life in so many ways.” \n\n\n\n“The world is always pushing to shop and buy local\,” he says. “Sewickley is a town where you can do all that and even catch a movie! The audience will walk away with a deeper understanding behind the craft of shoe repair. … I truly hope that after people see this film\, they look for their local shoe repair shop.”

SUMMARY:Emerging Filmmakers Showcase: 'Something Divine'
DESCRIPTION:The Lindsay’s second Emerging Filmmakers Showcase in March is a local documentarian’s enlightening new film about a hardcore musician’s spiritual transformation. \n\n\n\nSomething Divine is a globe-trotting documentary centered around Raghunath\, aka Youth of Today and Shelter lead singer Ray Cappo. This straight-edge hardcore icon embarked on a life-changing journey to India at the height of his musical popularity. Raghunath guides director Thomas Essig on an excursion throughout India while exploring how his punk and monk identities can exist together in spiritual harmony. \n\n\n\nThe public premiere of Something Divine will take place at The Lindsay on Sunday\, March 29\, at 1 p.m. Essig\, a Butler County-based filmmaker\, will be at the Theater for an in-person Q&A following the screening. Tickets are free\, and we recommend reserving seats in advance via the below RSVP form due to space limitations. \n\n\n\n“The film is designed to make you feel like you are in India and in those venues with Youth of Today and Shelter\,” says Essig. “This is not your typical spirituality documentary. It’s just truth. There is no one sitting on a mountain telling you the secret to life\, however you may find your truth.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEssig is a New York City native who first moved to Butler in 1992. He went back to the Empire State in 1999 and didn’t return to Western Pennsylvania until 2022. His film career kicked off in 2017. Music was Essig’s first love\, and his resumé includes serving as the drummer for Pittsburgh band The Prestons in the mid-1990s. \n\n\n\nBefore Something Divine\, Essig knew Raghunath only as a local yoga teacher in the Hudson\, N.Y.\, area. A former girlfriend went on a pilgrimage to India with Raghunath in 2016\, and she informed Essig about his rock-star alter ego. \n\n\n\n“I had no idea!” recalls Essig. “She described how hardcore punk fans\, yoga students and regular Joes went to India to participate in spiritual practices. I found it fascinating that people from all walks of life come together for a two-week trip diving into spirituality.” \n\n\n\nHe remembered flippantly saying at the time\, “How come nobody has ever made a movie about this?” After going on his first pilgrimage to India with Raghunath in 2017\, Essig realized that this experience allowed lost souls to seek their own “connection to the divine.” Essig has now made nine trips to India. \n\n\n\nSomething Divine was filmed in 2019 and has since played at festivals and private screenings. The Lindsay is hosting the film’s first public theatrical showing. Its PVOD release is set for March 27 on platforms such as Prime Video\, Apple TV and Roku. \n\n\n\nEssig appreciates The Lindsay for “bringing independent film to the community” with programs like the Theater’s Emerging Filmmakers Showcase. He hopes folks in this region take advantage of an opportunity to watch “a beautifully shot film about people trying to fix something broken in themselves” on the big screen. \n\n\n\n“Something Divine turned into a project from my heart\,” he says. “I can’t wait to convey this unique experience to the rest of the world.” \n\n\n\n\n\n \n \n Emerging Filmmakers Showcase SOMETHING DIVINE March 29\, 2026 Reservation Sign up\n \n \n InstagramThis field is for validation purposes and should be left unchanged.Name(Required)\n \n \n \n First\n \n \n \n \n Last\n \n \n Number of Tickets(Required)Phone Number(Required)Email(Required)\n \n Any Special Accommodations (Seating Accessibility\, etc.)?
