This film from Rudzinski’s production company, Silver Spotlight Films, adapts five of the Shingles stories from the Authors & Dragons collaborative and was filmed in the Coraopolis area with local actors. The event is free but registrations are requested.

Saturday, June 10, 10:30-12:55 p.m. Sensory-friendly screening of The Little Mermaid. All tickets will be at the discounted $8.75 price.

Thursday, June 15, 7-9 p.m. – The Lindsay concludes its Science on Screen® series with a screening of After Yang, the story of a couple (Colin Farrell and Jodie Turner-Smith) who have engineered the perfect household, including an android companion named Yang for their young daughter. When Yang malfunctions, the family’s quest to repair him turns into a meditation on grief, family and what it means to be human. Dr. Amanda Holland-Minkley, Professor of Computing and Information Studies at Washington & Jefferson College, an expert on artificial intelligence and its interaction with humans, will speak prior to the screening.

Monday, June 26, 7-9 p.m. – In partnership with the independent Penguin Bookshop, The Lindsay presents a book signing/discussion with New York Times best-selling author Marie Benedict (the pen name of Sewickley native Heather Terrell) and one of the country’s top contemporary African American authors, award-winning author Victoria Christopher Murray. They will share an exclusive preview of their latest novel, The First Ladies. This story of the extraordinary partnership between First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and civil rights activist Mary McLeod Bethune will be released the day after the event. The pair also authored the New York Times best seller and Good Morning America Book Club pick The Personal Librarian.
