This event will feature a panel discussion with industry professionals; screenings of nine locally made shorts; a trailer for Darrel Pullie’s Until We Meet Again, a short premiering at The Lindsay in May; and an in-person Q&A with participating filmmakers.
While this event is free, RSVPs are recommended in advance due to space limitations. Through the Kaleidoscope was organized by Pittsburgh-based 3BT Productions.
“This is a rare chance to engage with independent films that push boundaries, then dive into meaningful discussions with the filmmakers and industry professionals behind them,” says 3BT founder Xayne Allen. “If you love movies that challenge, inspire and spark conversation, this is the event for you.”
The panel will be hosted by activist, stylist and culture writer Ajani Zanaya. She’ll lead a conversation with DeJonna Williams, a Cleveland-based executive producer and vice president of Women in Film & Television Ohio; filmmaker, writer and politician Emily Skopov; feature and documentary producer Jasnoor Kaur; and Treble NLS, an Emmy-winning musician and lead teaching artist at 1Hood Media.
