2025 Pittsburgh Juneteenth Event Highlights

Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States, commemorating the end of slavery. Juneteenth is observed with free and ticketed events throughout the region.

The cinematic adaptation of August Wilson’s Pulitzer Prize-winning play, The Piano Lesson, will be shown on June 19, 2025, at The Lindsay Theater in Sewickley, through a partnership with the Sewickley Community Center’s Juneteenth Committee. Tickets for the 7:15 p.m. screening are $11.
