Pittsburgh’s The 6 Shop Films Debuts ‘Trial 54,’ a Short About Human Memories

Davis Rohrer found the inspiration for the name of his film company, The 6 Shop Films, in an unrelated part of his life—his 13 years in the Army National Guard. He was a part of section six, the “commo” or communications section, also referred to as “the six shop.”

Recently, his Pittsburgh-based company’s first full-production short film,  a sci-fi thriller called Trial 54, hit the film festival circuit and will soon see a public premiere at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center on Thursday at 7 p.m.

With a plot centered around the tagline “The revival of the soul is possible,” the New Jersey native and West Virginia University alumnus’ film stars Molly Miller as Sarah, a participant in an experiment designed to help people regain lost memories, and Jack Erdie as Dr. Miles Heston.
