‘Super Mario Galaxy’ Sensory Friendly Screening

Enjoy the Mushroom Kingdom crew’s latest adventure in a low-stress environment.

April 11 @ 10:00 am 12:00 pm

Mario is one of the most popular characters ever created. The Lindsay wants to ensure that everyone is able to watch his second big-screen adventure!

We’re hosting a sensory friendly Super Mario Galaxy screening on Saturday, April 11, at 10 a.m. Tickets for this showing are on sale for our discounted rate of $8.75.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, which starts playing at The Lindsay on April 1, finds Mario venturing into space to explore cosmic worlds and tackle galactic challenges far from the familiar Mushroom Kingdom.

Mario, Luigi, Peach and their friends encounter new allies like Princess Rosalina and Yoshi the friendly dinosaur—as well as enemies such as the vengeful Bowser Jr. The film’s all-star voice cast includes Chris Pratt, Charlie Day, Anya Taylor-Joy, Jack Black, Brie Larson, Donald Glover, Keegan-Michael Key and Issa Rae.

The Lindsay has been proudly holding sensory friendly screenings since 2017. These screenings provide an option for families, children, and adults impacted by autism and other special needs to watch films together in a low-stress environment.

We lower the film’s volume, keep on dim house lights, and have a door open to restrooms and the lobby throughout the film. Trailers are eliminated to reduce the necessary “sit time.” Staffing levels are also increased to allow a personal, unhurried cinematic experience for everyone.

The Lindsay usually offers sensory friendly screenings of every family-friendly film we play. Recent examples include sensory friendly screenings of A Minecraft Movie, Lilo & Stitch, How to Train Your Dragon, Zootopia 2 and Hoppers.
