Band Together Pittsburgh returns to The Lindsay with enough drums for the whole family!
The locally based nonprofit will host a Family Friendly Community Drum Circle in our Community Room on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 12-1 p.m. You don’t need to have any previous experience with drums! This event is free, and Band Together Pittsburgh kindly requests that participants RSVP in advance.
Band Together Pittsburgh was founded in 2016 with the ongoing mission of using music to engage youths and families impacted by autism. They have brought other programs to The Lindsay over the last few years, including their Autism Friendly Open Mics.
In January 2026, Band Together Pittsburgh expanded its offerings to include “The Mike Lange Memorial Drum Circle,” named after late legendary Penguins announcer Mike Lange. Thanks to a generous donation from the Lange family, they were able to purchase enough festival drums to accommodate much larger groups and expand their outreach.
