Curtains for Christmas

Holly (played by producer and co-writer Aleen Isley) absolutely loves Christmas movies. After meeting a man (director/co-writer Steve Rudzinski, as Jay) with a similar love, Holly decides that her life deserves to be as perfect as the films she loves–-by any means necessary! Tonight’s Emerging Filmmakers Showcase is the latest from Rudzinski (also credited as editor and producer), whose accolades include a Fangoria Chainsaw Award in 2022 for “Amityville Christmas Vacation” and being voted as Pittsburgh City Paper’s “Best Filmmaker” in both 2023 and 2024. This horror comedy features on-screen talent (and frequent collaborators) Michael Varrati, Jessa Flux, Jess Uhler, Andrew Gordon, and Sewickley native David Dietz, along with crew members Cody Ruch (SFX) and composer Mike Trebilcock. The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Rudzinski, Isley and attending cast and crew. This event is free to the public but reservations are recommended as space is limited.
