Steel Links document.title = "Steel Links - The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center"

"Steel Links" is a new, hour-long film from WQED. The film weaves together the rich history of Oakmont Country Club, one of the nation’s most revered golf courses, and its profound connections to the industrial city where steel fueled America’s ascent to power. "Steel Links" explores what it means to be shaped by Pittsburgh’s unique history: its struggles, triumphs and blue-collar pride. Former Steelers coach Bill Cowher takes us to his childhood home. Host Neil Walker—in a deeply personal and powerful moment—visits the seats where his parents watched him play second base for the Pirates. The film also includes segments with Charlie Batch, Wiz Khalifa, Carol Semple Thompson, Rocco Mediate, artist Cory Bonnet and several prominent local chefs.
