LA Filmmaker Returns to Pittsburgh with the Premiere of Horror Feature ‘Water Rites’

At 10 years old, Dean Jacobs started his entertainment career with South Park Children’s Theatre and Little Lake Theatre. After graduating from Peters Township High School and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, he took on acting roles in Pittsburgh before moving to Los Angeles for 13 years in 2012. 

Now, he’s decided to return to Western Pennsylvania and focus on Pittsburgh as an up-and-coming city in the entertainment industry.

His latest film, Water Rites, is screening Thursday at The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center at 7:15 p.m., with a filmmaker Q&A to follow.
