‘No Country for Mothers’ w/ Heather Abraham & Rachael Rennebeck
Hear from two of Pittsburgh’s favorite moms after watching this thought-provoking film!
September 23 @ 6:30 pm

Two of Pittsburgh’s most beloved media personalities will be at The Lindsay later this month to discuss the joys and challenges of motherhood.
Heather Abraham, Pittsburgh Today Live‘s longtime co-host, and Rachael Rennebeck, YaJagoff! co-founder and host of the PittsburgHER Podcast in collaboration with Pittsburgh Magazine, will join us for a special screening of No Country for Mothers, a documentary exploring the past and present of being a mother in the United States.
Abraham and Rennebeck will introduce the 6:30 p.m. No Country for Mothers showing on Wednesday, Sept. 23. They will also participate in a post-screening Q&A in which they will discuss the film’s portrayals of American motherhood and invite attendees to share their own experiences.
“No Country for Mothers opens the door to conversations we need to have about motherhood, the expectations placed on women and the realities we don’t always talk about,” says Rennebeck. “I’m especially excited to share that conversation with Heather Abraham, who embraces every discussion with honesty and heart. I hope it’s a meaningful evening that leaves people thinking and talking.”
No Country for Mothers follows Reshma Saujani, CEO and founder of national nonprofit Moms First, as she guides audiences through the systemic reasons that lead many mothers to feel under-supported. “We’ve been intentionally divided and distracted through culture wars,” Saujani tells The Guardian. “I think that the only way to beat back the culture wars is to get moms to come together.”
No Country for Mothers will play four times during The Lindsay’s 2026 Documentary Series, running from Friday, Sept. 11 to Thursday, Sept. 24. The Sept. 23 event with Abraham and Rennebeck will be the final No Country for Mothers showing during this year’s series.
